Aluminium shopfronts and fixed glazing
A shopfront does several jobs at once: it shows the inside of the business, lets customers in, and closes up securely at night. We fabricate aluminium shopfronts and fixed glazing with mullions and transoms, which divide a large frontage into panes of a manageable size and let us place doors, fixed lights and fanlights where the layout needs them. Fixed glazing above a door or along a side wall brings in daylight without adding another opening that has to be secured.
Entrance doors and closers
A shop entrance opens hundreds of times a day, far more than any door at home. We fit aluminium entrance doors with door closers, so the door shuts itself after each customer without slamming. A closer that is set correctly also stops the hinges and frame from being strained as the months go by.
Partitions
Glazed partitions divide an office, a reception area or a showroom without shutting out the light. Aluminium-framed partitions can combine fixed panes with doors, so that a meeting room or a manager's office keeps its privacy for sound while staying visible.
Laminated safety glass
Shopfronts sit at street level, where glass is most likely to be struck by a trolley, a bag or a passer-by who is not looking. Laminated safety glass holds together if it breaks, so the frontage stays closed and the pieces do not fall onto the pavement. It is the sensible choice for shopfront panes and glazed entrance doors.
Shopfront glass replacement

After-hours board-up
If your shopfront is broken after hours, the first job is to make the premises safe. We provide 24/7 emergency board-up: the opening is boarded, and we then measure and quote for the new glass or frame.
Servicing existing shopfront doors
Many shopfront problems are wear rather than damage: a door that drags on the floor, a closer that slams or no longer pulls the door shut, a lock that needs a shove to engage. These can be serviced and adjusted without replacing the door. Tell us what the door is doing and send a photo of the hinges, the closer and the lock.

- The width and height of the frontage, or of the pane that needs replacing.
- A photo of the whole front and close-ups of any damage.
- Your trading hours, if the work has to fit around them.
- Whether the job is a new fit-out or work on an existing frontage, such as aluminium doors being replaced within an old frame.
