Who is responsible

This website belongs to Doxa Glass Merchants (Pty) Ltd, trading as The Glass Merchants. Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Doxa Glass Merchants (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for the personal information you share through this site. For any question about your information, email hello@doxaglassmerchants.co.za.

What we collect

When you request a quote through the form on this site, we collect what you choose to give us:

• your name and, if relevant, your company
• your phone number and email address, and how you prefer to be contacted
• the address of the job
• details of the job, including sizes
• photos you upload

If you call, WhatsApp or email us instead, we keep what you send us in the same way.

Why we use it

We use your information to prepare a quote, to contact you about it, and to carry out the work if you go ahead. We do not use it for anything unrelated to your enquiry or job.

How the quote form is handled

Quote form submissions pass through a form service run by our web host, NivaCity, which delivers them to us. The form service keeps each submission for 90 days and then deletes it.

How long we keep customer records

Once you are a customer, your details are kept in Doxa's customer system while your account is active. Records are deleted after five years of inactivity.

Job photos

We may use our own before and after photos of jobs in our marketing. When we do, faces, house numbers and other details that could identify you or your property are masked. You can opt out on the job sheet, and we will not use photos of your job.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits to this site, so we can see which pages are useful and improve the rest. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this. We never sell visit data.

The quote form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that it is being used by a person and not an automated program.

Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

• ask what personal information we hold about you and see it
• ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date
• ask us to delete your information
• object to us using your information
• complain to the Information Regulator if you are not happy with how we have handled your information

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
